Cash Validation at POS (2 Lakh):

1.      As discussed during our call, the Burberry POS system must restrict all cash transactions exceeding ₹2,00,000. Such transactions should not be allowed as per the requirement.

2.     On cash tender transaction, this validation is working fine at POS.

3.     In the case of advance payments, the POS system should be performed tender validation. If the advance payment is made in cash, validation at the POS is mandatory to ensure compliance.

4.     If a customer has made an advance payment 2–3 days prior with cash tender and later returns to complete the purchase using the advance payment tender, the POS system must validate the nature of the original payment.

·      If the advance payment was made in cash, the POS must check the total cash transaction value for that customer on the day of final purchase, including the advance payment amount.

·      If the aggregate cash transaction value exceeds ₹2,00,000, the POS must block the transaction and display an appropriate error message, in compliance with regulatory limits.

5.     If a customer has purchased gift vouchers 2–3 days prior using cash tender and later returns to make a purchase at the POS using those gift vouchers, the POS system must perform a validation check.

·      The system should verify whether the gift vouchers were originally purchased using cash.

·      If confirmed, the POS must calculate the total cash transaction value for that customer on the day of redemption, including the value of the gift vouchers.

·      If the aggregate cash transaction value exceeds ₹2,00,000, the POS must block the transaction and display an appropriate error message, ensuring compliance with cash transaction regulations.

6.     This validation will apply to transactions made by the same customer on the same day, across all applicable tenders—Cash, Advance Payment, and Gift Voucher. The POS system must evaluate the cumulative transaction value from these tender types to ensure it does not exceed ₹2,00,000. If the threshold is breached, the system should block the transaction and display an appropriate error message.

7.      This Validation will work on all store with all terminals with same customer on the same day transaction.
