I would very much like to see some new thinking in MSCRM's marketing section. In my opinion this is the weakest link in the product.

The process of creating campaigns, then add activities, marketing lists, and so on, until distribution, is perhaps a logical approach for phone or letter campaigns. However, eDMs are a bit different.

eDM usually starts out with the e-mail. Most companies have their own design templates which they would like to use for this purpose.

After the email is designed, the recipients are selected. Then the email is submitted for approval and preview (in different rendering engines) before distribution to recipients.

CRM provides no such thing. The logical process would be:
1) Select template
2) Select recipents, if appriate
3) Preview and approve
4) Distribute (to email, facebook, twitter, sms, web, etc)

I would like to see a wizard for eDM in the next version of CRM which would enable the user to create such campaign in the logical way. A WYSIWYG tool for editing rich HTML email, including slugs for dynamic personalization of the content, is also an absolute necessity
