If you change an existing item line by choosing a different "item description" from the "item description" drop down box ONLY the description changes.
Item code and therefore price does not change.
This is a huge risk for error or fraud as an item can be sold at the incorrect price.
Therefore item description changes should change the item line code and price.

I believe the solution can go either way. Either you cannot select an item from a drop down (if an item was already selected), or everything should be updated as if you'd just selected an item.
