When a note is generated for a configuration, all the attributes in the model are transferred to the note. it should be possible to control which of the attributes to transfer. Some if the attributes might be technical variables which are totally irrilevant for the buyer e.g. calculation attributes for assembly times. I suggest that it should be possible to set a flag on the attribute in the model for "external" or "internal". Only external attributes should be transferred to the note. I dont recommend to use the "hidden stribute", since some hidden attributes might be "external".

I did this customization few weeks ago. This is a must have for a company which use the product configurator. The note is the description of the product. Users in my project also asked to exclude line according to the attribut value (for instance, exclude lines if the value is "No").

I have made exactly this as a customization for a couple of customers. It is a very much needed feature.

I use an attribute for caclulation of BOM lines and there is no need to print this attribute on documents. So what Frank suggest is very versatile, but I think at least if an attribute is hidden during the configuration process the attribute should not be printed or copied to the notes.
