Due to the Microsoft Office 365 update in September, the word template functionality of Dynamics GP has been broken. The affects pretty much anything that is printed from within Dynamics GP including invoicing, purchase orders, checks, statements, etc. As this affects entire system and our ability to do business, most of us have rolled back our Office 365 installations to preupdate status and have frozen them there. We all understand that we are supposed to be on the latest and greatest but for one reason or another a lot of us are stuck on a particular version.
The Office team's reluctance to make a workaround for this issue due to security concerns has caused everyone not on the latest GP code to stop all Office 365 updates till there is a fix or we upgrade our GP. GP being upgraded to a new version in a rush is not likely to happen anywhere especially as companies are starting their yearend processes.
As the Office team will not create a work around for the problem, can we have the Dynamics GP team create updates for the older versions of GP. Everyone wants to have the latest security and functional fixes for Office 365 but we cannot install them if we cannot use GP as it was built to work. Please update all versions of GP that have the Word template functionality with an update to allow us to install the latest Office 365 updates.
