The Inventory blocking function of the quality order in D365 F&O is only for the quantity on the Purchase Order.

If the on hand inventory of a part is 200 pcs, and the new received Purchase order on 200 pcs has a open quality order, then 200 pcs of the part is reserved by inventory blocking, but only the quantity is reserved, which means the operator can freely pick up 200 pcs from the newly received purchase order for a production order, which can lead to quality defect as the quality order is still open and the parts are not checked at all.

If the inventory blocking function of the open quality order can be realized on the license plate level, the quality risk will be eliminated.
