For a timeline control on a form, there is currently a stated limit of enabling 10 activity types for a timeline control (although we found up to 12 activity types works - beyond that the timeline control encounters control error and NO activities are shown, but an error message displayed.

REQUEST: please increase the limit of activity types that can be enabled in the timeline control (e.g., 20 please), or go with a performance degradation warning.

Note: as of 2022-03-25, there is an erroneous message in the form builder stating there is a performance degradation beyond 10 activity types, but this is NOT true - the timeline control no longer works (but we didn't encounter this error until the 13th actvitiy tyep enabled).

In a support ticket with Microsoft Support, this 'limitation' is documented here:

From the HAR file, error was thrown when link entity in fetchxml is more than 10

"Number of link entity: 11 exceed limit 10. isReport=False."

This is expected behavior, according to Doc: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/data-platform/use-fetchxml-construct-query

This is by design behavior.

Hi there, The above idea is NOT valid. We were contacted by our support engineer to clarify the issue. The limitation is using activity card forms in the timeline, of which there is a limit of 10 form cards (as opposed to using the default form, of which there isn't a limit I understand). The modified REQUEST is to increase the limit of form cards to use in a timeline (e.g., 15+). The rationale is the need to use cards to show the activity's date used for sorting, when the activity sort column is use for timeline sort.
