Description

Currently, Dynamics 365 FSCM restricts each source legal entity to be included in only one Consolidate Online Template. This limits flexibility for organizations needing multiple consolidation views (e.g., statutory, management, regional) using the same entities.

Proposed Enhancement

Enable source legal entities to be reused across multiple templates, with safeguards to:

• Prevent duplicate consolidations for the same period.
• Support template categorization (e.g., “Statutory”, “Management”).
• Maintain audit trails of template usage.

Business Impact

This change would improve reporting flexibility, reduce manual workarounds, and better support real-world consolidation needs for global enterprises.
