Recently I'm working on a CRM 2011 project for a world-class retail client.
Like most other retailers, they use the Retail Calendar for their fiscal month (so 4-5-4 or 5-4-4).
However in CRM 2011, it still doesn't support a more customisable fiscal year settings. In fact, the CRM FY settings has never been changed - from what I can remember (happy to be proven wrong...:)).
So I will use a custom entity - that's fine but I can already image that again, I will have to explain to the customer that why can't they compare the DateTime field with the hard-coded Fiscal Year period...
May I suggest that to enhence the Fiscal Year settings in the next major release of CRM?

my extension to this suggestion 1. when you swith GUI to other language "FY" as financial year is translated to local language which is not used at all, even czech/other companies use "FY" as standard, so prefix should be customizable 2. if the company uses other year than CRM, the year can not be changed - e.g. CRM uses year "2011" nowadays, but many companies use year "2012", so year number should be customizable
