I would like Dynamics to become more intelligent about the storage type it uses to record the detail of interactions with the Customer; in particular, e-mails and e-mail attachments. These (by default) appear to be stored in the ActivityPointerBase table, taking up huge amount of the most expensive storage type in Dynamics.

It would be good if Dynamics could automatically detect the data types it is storing and put this type of data in the 'File Storage' or perhaps SharePoint as a default (rather than having to employ 3rd party tools).

This is a source of huge frustration for my organisation, especially post the change in pricing structure for D365 / CDS storage; and having reviewed the forums and comments online, it seems we are not the only ones.
