Sending attachments with Electronics Invoice - PEPPOL

Currently we can create Electronic Documents from a posted invoice – eg. in PEPPOL BIS3 format. The «PEPPOL BIS billing 3.0» format includes the possibility to include attachments as encoded objects within the XML file. It would be helpful to be able to include PDF attachments with the electronic document that BC will encode into the XML file. This is a very common option in other ERP systems.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have decided to deliver this idea and make it available with Business Central 2023 release wave 2 (23.2). It will be part of a new functionality e-documents. But it doesn't mean it will be delivered exactly as asked as this is part of much bigger design.

I support the idea; I currently have questions from a customer who received a Peppol invoice from a vendor. The xml file did contain also an PDF attachment.
The customer wants to process the XML file in incoming documents and faces several issues and I will raise tickets and an Idea for the issues.
It would be very useful if this xml could be processed in incoming documents and have the supported PDF document automatically linked.
I think OCR technologies should be discontinued and we should to reading xml files.
