Cases are in Common module not without the reason. They are used in different business scenarios. These scenarios can be grouped into case categories. Different case categories may need different set of fields do be filled in during case processing. It means they may need different views.


We use different views to proces cases from different categories. It is very uncomfortable for users to manually switch the view depending on case category. Since over 2 years there are many mistakes because of that. The solution would be creating some place in which we could assign default view to the case depending on case category. It could be a simple table with two columns. Then the system would check case category and set a proper view after.
