We've had several examples of customers where it would be handy to be able to migrate data into an existing production enviroment.

Examples:

  • Customer aquires another company running older NAV or BC
  • Customer has made a "clean start" with new Chart of Accounts etc. but needs to save old data for lookup reference
  • A company unit was forgotten during initial migration

Solution:

In the "Select tables for migration" it is possible to deselect tables from migration. Tables with the property "ReplicateData = false" are automatically omitted.

Suggestion:

  1. Tables with Property DataPerCompany = false are per default omitted if there is 1 or more companies in the cloud database.
  2. Via an action it is possible to set all DataPerCompany = false tables til "Replicate" or "Do not Replicate"
  3. In the overview of tables the value of the table is visible in the main list page.

This would make it practically possible to migrate data into running production environment!
