Item variants are typically used when there are variations of a product available such as a colour or size. It therefore logically follows that the item attributes will be different for an Item Variant than the master item. For this reason it will be useful to also be able to specify attributes for item variants and these should inherit from the master item but be able to be changed.

I agree with this idea. We use variants for items and need attributes such as weight.

Hi I raised this again separately and it was declined as a duplicate. The reason I raised it again was due to the typo of variant in the title ("Varinat") which meant it didn't come up in my search when looking if one already existed. Imagine it will get more traction if that is corrected so others can find it?

Sure needed, especially concerning e-commerce.

I very much agree with this idea; It's basic to be able to define multiple attributes for a variant like size, color, configuration, etc... It's very unconvinient if for example a shirt comes in 5 colors and 5 sizes, we cannot search for colors available in one size.

Altogether, I would propose taking this much further, and change the item variant functionality for item dimensions functionality, so that when making purchase or sales orders, you could assort a line, for example, the order line has 120 pieces, and then you can assort and say 60 of variant A and 60 of variant B. Even better if variants had attributes, and we could insert quantities in a table where columns are one variant attribute and lines another one.
