Hi, For the Metallurgical industry, specifically for the Jewellery, it's almost important to have 3 decimal in quantity to maintain across the ERP. It's a mandatory requirement for Jewelers to maintain, purchase and sale the inventory in 3 decimal for Gold, diamond, platinum , etc. due to high value of the material. We have some of the clients who are using 3 decimal in AX 2009 and AX 2012 for long time , previously we have achieved that by customizing "QTY" EDT to support 3 decimal. However in D365 Operation, "QTY" is part of application Foundation model as a result it's not allowing to over layer neither allowing us to create an extension for number of decimal property. Our one of the customer named Emerald recently upgraded to D365 Operation with retail for the jewelry industry and after the start the implementation we are facing a huge setback for not supporting 3 decimal and went into a critical situation. I will request you please provide the required extension to alter the decimal places to 3 decimal for "QTY" EDT as it's one of the most critical requirement for jewellery industry.
