When I close a quote I would like to be able to set the default option on "Create a revised quote" to "No" so that we don't accidentally create revised quotes.

I've seen this same thing suggested at least a few times over multiple years, and I am echoing Caleb's suggestion that we should either have the ability to change the default behavior, or -- at the very least -- the default behavior should be "No".

Every person I've talked to that uses Dynamics has brought up this exact issue. Both internally and when talking with Dynamics Sales administrators from other companies. Quotes get cluttered with duplicates and drafts because the sales person forgets that they need to change this dropdown. The intuitive thing would be that when you are closing a quote, that's the end of the story. It is extremely rare that we would want to close a quote and re-create a new one rather than simply changing the already active quote.

Our "solution" right now is to check how many extra quotes were accidently created each week and delete them. Which is just silly, considering how customizable and automation-friendly every other aspect of Dynamics Sales has been.

Is there some obscure technical reason that I can't change the default "Create a revised quote" to "No"? If not, how come this (seemingly simple) change is being ignored?
