When new table display methods are developed, then they must be added to specific forms. It is not possible to add display methods via personalization. The personalization feature only allows the user to hide/unhide provided display methods. This behavior is not optimal, when an added display method only applies for few companies / users. Added display methods to a form will then be shown in Standard views but also to already Saved views for all users in all companies. If these display methods are not relevant, then users must hide those. Furthermore, display methods could have a negative performance impact, so it would be preferred if those could be added as an option (active choice).

This leads to the idea – it would be very beneficial if table display methods could be added to a form as how fields are added through the personalization feature. This means they don’t need to be added to specific forms. This behavior would likely also solve some scenarios where the name (item name, customer name, resource name ...) is missing.
