Possibility to update the configuration ID on Item master with posted transactions

When trying to change the configuration ID on the Item master (Product Master > Product Dimensions > Configurations) with the posted transactions, the system is not allowing to change the configuration ID.

The Idea is to change product configuration ID when the Product and Variant has transactions posted.

Ideally, if the Configuration can be changed, we would like the process to update/change the Configuration value in all tables where it is referenced in F&O. That would be a great feature to have when needed.
