We have an engineering organization that releases products to multiple operational companies.

Items that are shared, can be batch tracked in some companies, and not batch tracked in other companies.

We want to prevent - upon receipt of products via purchase orders and the scanner - to have to enter the batch expiration date. This can be done standard, by entering a very large value in the 'shelf life period in days'.

We want to do this only in the operational companies using batch tracking for those products, since we don't necessarily want to make the item 'batch tracked' in the engineering organization.

When trying to modify the 'shelf life period' in days in the operational company, we receive the notification that it should be modified in the engineering organization. But the issue is, the item is not batch tracked in the engineering organization.

Idea: Make the 'shelf life period in days' editable in the operational company. Not only the engineering organization.
