BC receives exchange rates every day by the exchange rate service, so there is a new line with the new exchange rate every day.
In Sales orders there is a lot of ordre in currency with old posting dates.
Running “Batch Post Sales Orders” for currency orders with Posting date today will not update any orders.
Before running batch sales orders, I can choose to remove the “Replace posting date” but then all orders will get a wrong posting date.
If I change one orders to today a message box appear: “Do you want to update the exchange rate” ?
Type No, (order is released) but will now get wrong currency rate.
Type Yes, but then I must open the order again.
Now the batch posting is working for one order.
If I have a thousand orders in currency this is a problem. I am forced to choose between wrong posting date or manually correcting all orders with a new date before patch posting. ?
In “Batch Post Sales Orders” there should be an option to process currency orders with new posting date.
Comments
This feature should be made available, as it represents a very practical scenario. The concept of "Replace Posting Date" loses its purpose if this scenario is not supported.
