According to the IRS federal guidelines, some assets such as luxury vehicles have depreciation limits. These limits are typically set on a yearly basis. This feature is missing in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. We're currently replacing Oracle and this feature comes standard. Being a legal requirement, I think it's important to include it.

Thanks David. I want to reinforce the idea that this is necessary functionality. It may be that part of the solution would be to permit amounts (as opposed to only factors) in Manual depreciation schedules. I'm also testing an approach using Consumption. However, both of these would still have drawbacks as, unlike with Alternate profiles where the higher result is used, this really requires that the LOWER value be selected. We need at least a workaround until this is built into D365.
