In legacy MRP, a line of code was introduced some time long ago related to Property planning. This line of code allowed for one planned order to be split into many small parts during capacity reservations.

Due to a client need to not have one planned order reserve capacity in small intervals over weeks and months, Microsoft offered us the line of code that we could parameterize and nullify using custom code.

This custom code will no longer work with planning optimization and our request is that Microsoft considering parameterizing whether a client would want to allow their job to split in this manner or require the full amount of consecutive capacity when planning is running.
