The standard Calculate Plan – Req. Wksh. process does not provide the ability to filter planning calculations by item variant. Furthermore, variants that are blocked or blocked for purchasing are still included in the demand calculation and are therefore transferred to the planning worksheet.

In our opinion, these variants should at least be excludable through filtering during the planning run. Alternatively, they should be excluded from planning entirely, similar to the way blocked items can be handled.

The current behavior creates an issue when carrying out action messages, as planning lines for blocked variants are generated even though purchasing is not allowed. As a result, users must manually identify and remove these lines before processing the planning worksheet, which creates unnecessary effort and increases the risk of errors.

Therefore, the Calculate Plan – Req. Wksh. process should be enhanced to either exclude blocked variants from planning or provide filtering options that allow users to prevent them from being included in the planning calculation.
