Since the introduction of MTD (Making Tax Digital) in the UK, lots of customers have ran the Calc and Post VAT settlement, which closes the VAT entries, before submitting MTD.
This results in no data in the VAT return page as the entries are now closed, and the user cannot submit MTD.
As users are used to processing the Calc and Post after they have reconciled their VAT to the GL, could you add a pop up warning to confirm the user has submitted their return when the flag on the Calc and Post VAT settlement report is set to 'Yes'?
