In our Dataverse and Power Pages environment, Web Files (adx_webfile) became unavailable because their underlying Note (annotation) attachment payloads were deleted. This caused portal static assets (CSS, JavaScript, images, documents) to disappear, resulting in a distorted UI and requiring manual re-upload to restore functionality.

Currently, when Note records are deleted via OData API operations, the platform does not provide visibility into the originating Power Automate flow, workflow, or process. This makes it extremely difficult to perform root cause analysis, especially in environments with multiple integrations and automation components.

We request the following enhancements:

• Provide telemetry to identify the source of deletion (flow/workflow/API user)
• Introduce dependency awareness between Web Files and Note attachments
• Add safeguards to prevent unintended deletion of critical portal assets
• Enhance audit logs to include actionable diagnostic details

These improvements will help prevent portal downtime, reduce manual recovery efforts, and significantly improve governance and troubleshooting capabilities.
