Retailers don't sell retail kits, they buy them and transfer them, and then explode them when they get to the stores. This is done because the vendor gives special purchasing when buying as a kit, and the kit is delivered as a shrink wrapped pallet making "cross docking" easier for the components. Master planning doesn't consider the components of an inbound kit as inbound inventory for a store, which can cause duplicate ordering. The ask is a feature/parameter to enable master planning to consider the components of a retail kit as "Ordered" inventory if the kit is ordered.

Thank you for your feedback.

Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.

The Retail Kit model is not really what a full kitting solution should be based on (a different product type - seriously ??). So not sure I would like to see Microsoft investing time in that solution.
