Assembly BOM per Parent Item+Variant

When creating an Assembly BOM only the Parent Item No. but not Parent Item Variant No. can be selected (current key is Parent Item No. + Line No), but whenever you work consistently with Variants, each Parent Item+Variant requires another Component Item+Variant, so we need an extended key which includes the Variant of the Parent Item

As far as i can see, this is not part of https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=5413e77d-356b-e911-b047-0003ff68e45b, as that is already implemented, but this functionality is still missing. Would be really great to have this feature.

Hope that will be added to Roadmap as it is realy limitation as for Item Variant usage as well as for Assembly functionality, both features are not full-fledged with out that

Yeap, there is inconsistency in the current BC functionality, as it is possible to assemble a specific Item Variant via Assembly Order, but it is impossible to store Assembly BOM for components from such order. So Assembly Order works for both Item and Item Variant (as an assembly output = parent) while Assembly BOM works for Item only.
That forces us to build workarounds :(
