We often have the case, that the same item is needed for several locations with different addresses.
Item 1900-S is needed with quantity 4 on location code Paris.
Item 1900-S is needed with quantity 5 on location code Copenhagen.
The planning worksheet suggests two separate planning lines, one for each location code.
If item 1900-S is supplied by the same vendor for both locations, the function "carry out action message" creates ONE purchase order, with location Paris in the header and two lines, one for location Paris and another for location Copenhagen.
If the purchase order is printed, the address of the Paris location is shown, the Copenhagen address is not. It does not make a difference if SKUs are used or not.
My suggestion is, that the planning function must create one order for each location and not one order in total.
Comments
Until NAV2018, this was standard functionality. Even today, a large part of the program code is still there, and only pieces of code are missing.Microsoft described this as a bug, referring to better pricing conditions if all items are combined into a single order. (TrackingID#2604290050002740)
