However, the system currently lacks the ability to select different number series for package numbers depending on the item. For instance, consider a scenario where some items are packaged as pallets, while others are boxed. Both packaging types could encompass multiple lots, and distinguishing them based on their packaging type could significantly enhance organizational efficiency. However, under the current system, these diverse package types are all grouped under a single default number series. This limitation can lead to confusion and inefficiencies in inventory tracking, especially in businesses where different package types play distinct roles in logistics and storage. By allowing a selectable number series for different package types, businesses could streamline their inventory management processes, improving accuracy and operational effectiveness.
