Our client is an international manufacturer planning 4 years ahead due to long lead times and have monthly forecast as well as lots of sales orders. They may store the same item in multiple warehouses and are frequently using pegging to analyze planned orders. Unfortunately, the net requirements only shows a few planned orders and requires a lot of scrolling (even when changing grid size to small).
It would be great to revisit and optimize the UI for net requirements. Specific feedback we got from the planners includes:
- Net requirements (demand/supply overview) should stand out more, as it's the main tool for planners to work with
- Pegging is great and fundamental information, but and should also stand out more
- Show the requested date by default, as it gives an indication of what the plain requirement / delivery date is
- Some companies might not have different plans or only change the plans in net requirements seldom, it would be good to have the option taking less space
- The list of coverage dimensions (i.e. warehouse that is covered) is taking too much space. Could it be put somewhere else (i.e. in a pane on the left?)
We are currently handling as much as we can with personalizations, but some fundamental things cannot be changed by personalization and it would be great to have a general improvement of the UI for net requirements.
