With an organization running a hybrid Exchange server, the web client cannot access Microsoft Exchange even though the thick client connects successfully. Microsoft Support tells me the GP web client does not allow failover as well as the Desktop GP client. If autodiscover returns an endpoint that fails, the Desktop GP client can talk to that server to know that there is another server. The Web Client does not do this and the connection simply times out.
