When running the planning availability, the system doesnt not deduct existing inventory from the demand forecast quantity e.g
Demand forecast quantity is 100 for a month
The existing inventory is 20
The planning availability simply uses the 100 from the demand forecast , although there is 20 units in existing inventory
Ideally the planning availability should deduct existing inventory.. This issue has a huge impact on BOM items as well as the planning availability uses the full quantity from demand forecast.
Also when we not inserting location on a demand forecast, when running planning worksheet the system does not deduct existing inventory from the demand forecast quantity and plan for the balance
