Our client would like the ability to assign a full team to one task

Dynamics Marketing does not support assigning tasks to teams, needs to be assigned to valid Marketing user. Supporting this is not on our roadmap though we continue to monitor customer feedback to review its priority

Hi shelby.gregory, Unless I'm not understanding you, this capability is available by default. Users and / or Teams can own Tasks. Are you saying that, when a Task is assigned to a Team, that Task appears in each of the Team *Member's* Task list within Outlook?
