“Strict validation on default order quantities” has been enabled. Item exist with Multiple and Maximum values entered.
When a sales order is created for a qty = 60 and the maximum allowed is only 50, the system will warn that only 50 is allowed. You answer No and the system then informs that it must be in multiples of 5. The expectation is that this message should not be displayed, since the multiple is already given.

Thank you very much for your input. This behavior is similar accross inventory/procurement/sales. We do not have any plans to do this change, we will however continue to monitor how much in demand such a change is.
