e foreign trade parameter is not available for the following countries (Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Turkey). There is a need to add the foreign trade parameter specifically the fields commodity code, country of origin and port.

If we don’t have these information about commodity code, country of origin and port we can not provide it to the customs authorities in the countries that we export to or import from.
When exporting to other countries these three information’s are mandatory to make the customs clearance.

Even though it isn't a legal requirement in the specific countries it is necessary for them to do international trade.
If this isn't solved companies that uses D365 will need to use a third party program to provide this information. We strongly believe that this is also a need for other international companies using D365.

Now we are in march 2024.The first time that this problem has been shared with Product Group is earlier 2019....And it has been regularly solicited every 6 months.Every time that a Company in the world export has to report HSCODE (or CommodityCode or HTS as you prefer) and Country of Origin to allow Custom to calcolate import duty. Why you released x USA and CANADA, AUSTRALIA, (Not intrastat) and is not released for Puerto Rico or Argentina or any Asian Countries with Microsoft Localization ?Will be the Foreign Trade available in the new Latin America Localization that Microsoft is releasing ? And in the other new localization ?Is really Microsoft interested to release this functionality ?Many company and partner are waiting this easy fix to get the delocalization of the foreign trade tab to every country and every localization. Please share in which PU Microsoft will release the functionality, or provide the sysflight to activate it !Else tell us that Microsoft will not do and every one will make its own customization to fixit... knowing that they will not go back to fixit when Microsoft will release this functionality.Marco Squinzi

This was updated with a 2023 release wave 2 timeline - is there anything more specific about when that's going to be available, i.e. which version?

Our D365 has a multicompany model with companies all over the world (from America to Australia). For many countries we are suffering deom longtime about the impossibility to insert and print commodities and country of origin. We are approaching the issue inserting and mantaining the info in another ways, sometimes developing customizations. We look forward to have soon a definitive solution about this. The fix is planned for WAVE2 - 2023, is there any precise info about the specific PU?Thanks

Hi, we have a similair request to add the Country of Origin Code in Singapore and South Africa as well. We need this on Order level, for Invoices and stuff... and print it on Documents. Is here any kind of date assumption? Kind regards Kevin

I have a similar requirement to be able to use Foreign trade parameters (commodity code and country/state of origin) on our released products in my organizations Chile, Panama and Ghana companies.

This is very much a needed feature. Any possibility of estimating a time for when it can be included? Anyone had any successful workaround to make this available while we are waiting for this to be implemented?

We are upgrading from AX R3 to D365 and have found that the Foreign trade parameters (commodity code and country/state of origin are not available on our released products for China, Japan and Singapore. This data was in AX, but sadly has not been converted over to D365 as the data fields are not available. As others have said this is critical for import/export in multi-national companies.
