Asset management has great promise, but is hampered by a few large issues related to how the user interacts with the system.

The greatest issue is that creating a functionable maintenance plan requires the user to create several data records/variables in a minimum of two different tables without any help from the system at all. There are also some parts of the system that doesnt actually work and will also block any attempt to create work orders

Inputing a single digit wrong or not completely understanding each how all of the variables work simply results in no work orders.

There is no warnings, no way to see that anything is wrong, it just simply doesnt work. This is just not how things should be designed in 2023.

I am currently working as an instructor for AM in my company and this is the single most difficult piece of IT software i have ever used and very hard to teach to people who are not solely spending their time in front of a computer.

The system could be improved with either some systemic aid on how to fault search a maintenance plan/maintenance job-type combo. Or a tool could be developed for Dynaway. Either would greatly expand on the user base of who could actually be taught how use the system. Even some variant of old time "wizard" would be useful for easing people into the system.
