When we create a resource of type Group, it does not let the same resource (contact/user or equipment) to be added to multiple groups with overlapping date ranges. This looks like a design flaw.
We can have resources be part of two different resource groups and that also within the same time frame.
Please provide this capability in the Resource Management for Project Service and/or Field Service.
