Often companies want or need to have RFQ-round, before creating purchase orders. There is an option to create purchase order from item requirements, but no Request for quotation.

For some reason I can't vote, if I could I would vote for this one.

I came here to add a similar idea. This is not just needed for item requirements but also for regular sales orders and sales quotations. For trade & distribution companies the sales quotation process often starts with sending RFQs to vendors. So they need to be able to convert sales quotation and sales orders into RFQs and send those RFQs to different vendors. I know cases where 300+ sales quotation lines have to be converted to RFQs. (But sometimes there is just the 2 line quick quote.) Then there needs to be a quick way to add a margin and transfer the vendor quoted prices back to the customer quote or sales order. I have developed  modifications for this in AX 2009 but it would be great if that would be build into native D365FO.
