The job planning lines should enherit dimension setups on the related job task but similar to the difference in header and line dimensions it should be possible to setup job planning line specific dimensions,
In the specific case I'm referring to the customer primarily wishes to use dimensions for filtering and budget splits i.e. mainly job planning lines of type budget and budget & billable, but it would be relevant to consider if dimensions could also be inherited to invoice lines when you invoice the job based on planning lines (type billable, and budget & billable)

This is a necessity for my current client. With out the ability to assign dimensions on planning lines , we have to create a task line for every planning line. This disregards the point of the task to planning line structure. At least allow a setup setting to skip the task/planning line layers. And simply have planning lines.
Furthermore : if I bypass dimension assignment on the task ,( and I use accounts with default dimensions in my planning lines) I lose the dimensions in the final WIP calculation if I have more than one planning line. I have wasted countless hours trying to solve this.

Great Idea!
Would be perfect if also can be connected with Usage Link. I mean, if you post a purchase linked with this Job Planning Line, the dimensions of the purchase have to be updated with the dimensions of the job planning lines.
