After working together with Microsoft on a ticket, Microsoft confirms the order promising have a changed behavior from version 15.

I miss the old behaviour! Any one else? please vote!

Scenario:

working date = 220504

1 item in stock

lead time for this item is 2 weeks

1 item on sales order with planned delivery date = 220511 (1 week from working date)

In earlier versions, if placing another order for this item and running order promising - Capable-to-promise I get the result that I can deliver the new order in two weeks.

The shipment date will be in 2 weeks since 2 weeks is the lead time for the item and we do not have enough time to replenish a new item to the already placed order with planned shipment date in 1 week.

In newer versions, if placing another order for this item and running order promising - Capable-to-promise I get the result that I can deliver this item today. This means, I will not have any item to deliver for my already placed sales order with planned shipment date in 1 week. The order promising steals the inventory promised to another customer to the new order.
