When using intercompany master planning, transport days are not applied. The system considers the downstream planned purchase order requirement date, as the requested date for the planned production order (e.g). When you have just few days between shipment and receipt and short production lead time, it's not a big issue when dealing with planned orders several months in advance.

But when you have subsequent transport days, customs document to prepare...you need your system considering sales lead time, transport days etc....otherwise the intercompany planned order demand is useless, just setup automatic firming for the intercompany planned purchase order
