Currently, when users manually enter an attribute on a trade agreement, the system does not validate whether the entered attribute actually exists in the predefined list.
Because of the missing validation, users can unintentionally enter incorrect or non‑existing attributes. This leads to several business impacts:
- The wrong attribute results in the system failing to retrieve the correct price for items on sales quotations and sales orders.
- This directly affects the ability to bill customers correctly, which may cause revenue loss or pricing inconsistencies.
- Once the journal is posted, the incorrect data spreads across the system, creating a large workload to fix.
- In many cases, a single journal may contain more than 1,000 lines, making corrections extremely time‑consuming.
Requested Enhancement:
Add system-level validation to ensure that any attribute entered on a trade agreement line must match an existing defined attribute. This small control would prevent data errors early, reduce correction workload, and protect revenue accuracy.
