Currently it is in the Engineering change order possible to create a new BOM and create the lines by copying them from an existing BOM while using the Copy function and modify the necessary information. This way most of an existing BOM can be easily reused while only the differences need to be modified. This saves time and improves user's productivity.

When thinking in consistency you should expect also a copy Route function. But currently this functionality is not available. This means that a user cannot reuse the existing information of another Route and modify only the differences. Without the copy Route function of the Route within the Engineering change order the user must define each step manually, which doesn't save time, does not improve user's productivity and is also sensitive to errors.

That is way the ability to add the copy Route functionality to the Engineering change order is raised here; makes functionality more consistent, saves time for the user, improves user's productivity and decreases the error proneness.

This would be an invaluable feature for our company with over 2000 items requiring routes, up to 3 or 4 steps within each route and sometimes multiple routes. Accuracy is critical for production, but particularly within a medical device company and this feature would decrease the risk of error when creating routes.
