Within a column, if the field type is numeric, which includes whole number, decimal number and currency fields, there should be an option to initialize the field to "zero" during record creation.

The reason this is important is that if a calculated field is set up that uses a numeric field and the value in the numeric field hasn't been populated, the calculated field doesn't work.
