Hi,

it would be very handy to allow adding a new view to price list elements.
In our case we need to show the price list items like this:

ProductName | Price | Unit

But for whatever reason the views are not customizable at all, neither I can add my own view.

Thank you for your feedback.

Dynamics 365 Sales allows customizing the out the box PriceListItem view from 2019 release wave 2. You can now add any additional columns to the price list item views and view additional details of the items - which is the core ask in in this idea.

Please note that the creation of new views is still restricted. If you have a need to create custom views, please upvote this idea and elaborate your scenario in the comments.

Sincerely,

Bharath Varadarajan

Product Manager, Dynamics 365 Sales

I wholeheartedly agree with Jukka on this. We have several customers that want to see pricing info for items, and having that available would really amp up this feature.

The inability to show the prices of items added onto a price list without opening popup records is a great frustration indeed. The value of the price list feature is greatly diminished due to the limitations of showing the data as an actual price list in the UI as the feature name would suggest. Having to build a custom SSRS report for this purpose is not a sensible requirement when simply allowing custom views for the entity would be enough. If there are platform requirements to keep the default views uncustomizable or to ensure that certain columns are always included, then at least let us add more information to the views, but please don't block the whole price list item view extension feature due to this.

We have exactly same issue as Wilcomp does. It rely pity to have so powerful Product Management Module with limitations of basic functionality.

I have a customer who has several products with the same name but with different IDs (software with different license options) and this inability totaly inhibits selections of products in the opportunity as they will see 10 products with the same name. If I was able to add the ID column to the lookup view, they would be able to differentiate, but alas, I am not and hence the customer is at loss.

Two of our customers want to be able to search price list items by product ID (=product number), and preferably also see that ID in the standard lookup view on line details in opportunities, quotes and orders.

The inability to customize pricelists and pricelist items makes CRM unusable for our sales staff. This is unacceptable. Add this to the to do list. As an aside- If Microsoft is only using this forum as the repository for customer outrage over this issue, Microsoft Dynamics team is blind to the reality of the market. The innerwebs is replete with articles discussing the many shortcomings of the pricelist model in Dynamics CRM. This forum was hard to navigate to and furthermore this specific issue did not appear when search terms "PriceList", "PriceLists", "Item Price", "product Catalog", "Price list item" were used. Only when "priceListItem" (no spaces) was used as search criteria, did this issue appear in search results. This was searching as someone who was aware that this issue on this forum existed. Please allow the price list functionality to be customized before you lose a customer, and we lose money and time as a result of this.

For us, the inability to customize the product search forms or result columns basically make the whole concept of Products/Pricelists useless to us. Extremely disappointed. It means we can't use Dynamics CRM to generate quotes, invoices, or robust forecast/pipeline reports based on products. Maybe we should have gone with Salesforce.com.

Hi, we really need to see more columns in the Price List Item views. Especially the column "Product ID". So we need either add columns to the existing views or create new views. Both are not possible now.

Are there any plans for making Price List Item views customizable?

Been wanting this feature for a while now. Just unlock the entity!

This is quickly becoming a show stopper for us as well. The inability to see things like "Product Descriptions" or to search on custom Product attributes when doing a price list item lookup is forcing users to maintain external data sources that provide this information. Why it is not on the product road map is beyond me. Please get a resolution to this.
