Close Location

I request that a button be added to a Location, in order to close it so that inventory cannot be added to or removed from the location. We have a warehouse that we no longer use and I do not want erroneous postings to that warehouse location. I cannot delete the location, as there is a history I simply want it blocked. This would be similar to an item that we no longer stock or sell, or a customer that we no longer sell to.

to do this, simply by removing the inventory posting setup for any location which no longer used.

Good idea, I'd suggest mirroring the 'Block Movement' functionality that we already have on Bins, such that you can block movement [Inbound|Outbound|All] at the Bin, Zone and Location level.

As an aside; there are workarounds available. If you are using bins you could set all of them to 'Block Movement = All'. If you're not using bins, you could remove the inventory posting setup for this location thus giving the users an error when they try and post.
