Situation:

A lot of our customers like to maintain large Price Lists to have an easyer overview. This means that they also often insert new Lines where they see fit. Wich creates a Problem for the AutoSplitKey function used on the "Price List Line"-Table.

As you can only insert new lines in the same spot 14 times until you run into a "can't split"-Error and the customer can't really influence the Line No. without technical knowledge, this turns into a major inconvenience over time. especially if you have a lot of different discounts for the same focus group and you regularly want to add new lines. in the same spot.

As the Line No. is only used to maintain the order of lines within the list. It shouldn't be a big deal when they change in a batch run.

Conclusion:

There should be an option to redistribute the Line No. values to restore the 10000 incrementation between the lines

Suggestion:

Write a function to rename or delete&recreate the Line No. you can implement the function in 2 ways:

A) when opening the editing Page

B) when verifying the newly written Lines.

p.s. this would also resolve an issue with the migrated data from the depricated Price finding features: The Lines originating from those tables have a Line No. incrementation of 1!! so you can't insert anything. ever.
