# QT — Private by Default Collaboration VISIT: https://qt-ai.netlify.app

QT is a **local-first, peer-to-peer collaboration app** designed for **sensitive conversations** that teams don’t want stored on servers.

No message history.

No central database.

No silent data collection.

Just secure, temporary discussion rooms that exist only while participants are connected.

---

## Why QT Exists

Most teams rely on tools like Slack, email, or cloud docs for internal communication.

While convenient, these tools:

- Store messages indefinitely

- Keep searchable logs

- Centralize sensitive discussions

- Create long-term data risk

For everyday work, this is acceptable.

For **confidential decisions**, it is not.

QT exists for moments when teams think:

> “This conversation should not live anywhere.”

---

## What QT Is

QT is a **serverless discussion room** where participants connect directly to each other using encrypted peer-to-peer connections.

It enables:

- Real-time chat

- File sharing

- Collaborative discussions

Without:

- Message storage

- Server-side logs

- Persistent chat history

Once users leave the room, the session effectively disappears.

---

## How It Works

1. A user creates a room

2. A unique Peer ID or link is shared

3. Participants connect directly using WebRTC

4. Messages and files flow only between peers

5. When users disconnect, the room ends

QT does **not** store:

- Messages

- Files

- Metadata

- Conversation history

There is nothing to archive — and nothing to leak.

---

## Architecture Overview

- **Local-first**: All messages are handled in the browser

- **Peer-to-peer**: Direct device-to-device communication

- **Encrypted**: Data is encrypted during transit

- **No central storage**: No chat database, no logs

QT cannot read or recover conversations — because it never has them.

---

## AI Usage (Optional & Explicit)

QT includes optional AI assistance that is:

- Explicitly invoked by the user (e.g. `@QT`)

- Never running in the background

- Never silently analyzing conversations

Users remain in full control of when and how AI is used.

---

## What QT Is Not

QT is intentionally **not**:

- A Slack replacement

- A long-term knowledge base

- A searchable chat archive

- A monitoring or analytics tool

QT is built for:

> **Temporary, high-trust conversations**

---

## Who QT Is For

- Founders & leadership teams discussing sensitive decisions

- Agencies handling confidential client data

- Legal & compliance teams

- Product teams working on pre-launch ideas

- Any team that wants privacy by default

---

## Privacy Principles

QT follows a strict privacy-first philosophy:

- No message storage

- No server-side logs

- No user tracking

- No training on your data

- No accounts required

Your conversations stay where they belong — with you
