Planning Optimization Bug-Planned Production Orders are Getting Created Instead of Planned Batch Orders for Formula Items

Many requirements moved from Planned Batch orders (MRP data) to Planned Production orders (PO data) This a bug as some times Formula items requirements is coming as Planned Production Order after running Planning Optimization in D365. However, if you firm those orders then batch orders will be created/scheduled in D365 F&O.

Thank you for your input! The feature "Process manufacturing support for Planning Optimization" must be enabled for planned batch orders to be created. This feature is available from release 10.0.33, prior to that release or without the feature planned production orders are created instead of batch orders.
