We have observed in the new UI of D365 application the Business recommended field has been removed from the field property. I would request to not to remove such options as the end users would be interested to utilize this feature.

We currently use Business recommended fields to dynamically highlight required fields in each step of our process. Without this feature, the UX of our interface would be severely and negatively affected.

We use recommended fields in a lot of deployments: removing the icon is disrupting the UX in these scenarios. This is currenlty stopping several customers to move to new look, which indeed has many useful features.

We are using the icon to guide users through completing forms also. As someone indicated previously, having a mid-point between optional and required allowed users to save a record before it was fully filled out. We used the business recommended field requirement as an indication that the record could integrate with our downstream systems when all those fields contained data. End users could easily see what was missing if they didn't get an indicator of a successful integration. I am curious to know the thought process behind the deprecation of the icon. Is there an alternative that has not yet been revealed?

We used the recommended fields for our business process too. Just removing this feature was a bit unexpected. As i can see we are not the only ones, who used the recommended fields. We would love to see the recommended fields in the new design as well, as it brings a big advantage forr the lead process for example.

Also, what is the difference between the recommended fields and optional fields, since there is no longer an icon to identify a recommended fields?

We extremally recommend Microsoft reconsider not removing the feature, our business process is relying 100% on the blue plus icon to guide the users through the required fields for completing the process. Making the fields mandatory will prevent the record to be saved, blocking the user to save incomplete records.
